Joe Bagley (jmbaggs)  > Hobbies > Papercutting
These are the patterns and completed work of papercuts. I use these patterns to cut pieces from a very thin piece of paper as a hobby. I one day hope to complete enough to take them around and sell them. Please leave comments as to which one you like.

Joe Bagley (jmbaggs) > This design is adapted from a Mimbres Indian pot. Their designs are absolutely amazing. I have done one of this pattern that measures about 2.5 feet across.
Joe Bagley (jmbaggs) > This is a pattern that I have yet to work on. All of the background (with the tiny dots) will be black with some of the other areas of white filled in so that the entire thing isn't just the outlines
Joe Bagley (jmbaggs) > This is just the pattern I used. This one I am about 75% finished doing but I since my workstation is 200 miles away I wont be able to work on it until Christmas break
Joe Bagley (jmbaggs) > I have completed this one. Boy was it a ton of work! This is just the pattern. THe final piece has a solid black background.
Joe Bagley (jmbaggs) > This design is called the sunflower and is based on a Mimbres pot that had almost exactly the same design.
Joe Bagley (jmbaggs) > This is a variation of "The Sunflower" which I created in photoshop. I am absolutly besides myself with how great this design is and if I ever get into the business of selling my work, this will be my logo:-)
Joe Bagley (jmbaggs) > This is a completed piece. The entire black area is one piece of paper. This took about two weeks to complete. Unfortunately this is not my design. I got the pattern from a book and recreated it for fun.
Joe Bagley (jmbaggs) > This is a poor shot of one of my first pieces. I can not remember the name of the woman who's design this is but she bases here designs off of the ancient Mimbres people of the American Southwest. She inspired me to also look into other mimbres designs which I have used to make my own patterns (see other examples)
